Trademark - the song title

Another cool band is Relient K, an American rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio, by Matt Thiessen, Brian Pittman, and Matt Hoopes during the band's junior year in high school and their time at Malone University.

According to lyrics.com, "The band is named after guitarist Hoopes' automobile, a Plymouth Reliant K car, with the spelling intentionally altered to avoid trademark infringement over the Reliant name."

Generally, a questionable approach to avoid possible trademark infringement. In the subject case, however, the goods and services of Chrysler/Plymouth as manufacturers of the Reliant K car and the Relient band seem to be sufficiently different from each other to avoid confusion.

For the car enthusiast among us, Plymouth had the Reliant K patrolling the streets of America by 1982. So, confusion between the band's name and the car possibly could be argued based on the recognition of the mark "Reliant K" in the eighties with cars certainly still driving around in the nineties.

The lyrics' WordCloud once more emphasizes the use of the IP term "Trademark", but also reveals other IP-related phrases such as Improve, Realize and Clear.
