While Patent Pending is a typical phrase mentioned on product packages or marketing material, this is actually an American rock band's name: https://www.patentpendingmusic.com.
The band was founded in 2001, and according to wikipedia "is notable for its upbeat demeanor, diverse song subjects, close relationship with its fans, and energetic live shows." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patent_Pending_(band)).
Interesting enough, I couldn't detect any IP-related terms in the band's lyrics. Also the question remains unanswered why a band would chose a name like this.
As patent professional, arrogation of patent comes into my mind, so maybe it's worth asking the band what exactly is patented and what the related patent numbers are? @Patent Pending: Just kidding!
The band also has a YouTube channel you'll find here in case you are interested in their music: https://www.youtube.com/c/patentpendingtv/featured
