Making his business fit for a ownership transfer required to register the company name as a trademark.
Clearance
We carried out a so-called knock-out search (i.e., a search for identical signs) and a simple similarity search on a complementary basis.
Filing
Jointly we designed the list of goods and services relevant for Oliver's business also considering similar businesses operating under different marks.
We filed a trademark application in Oliver's home country. Due to the diversity of the business, the pre-defined list of goods and services didn't fit all needs, so we decided to file a more elaborate list but still expected registration before the expiration of the 6 months priority period.
Transfer
The trademark was filed under the client's name. Once his business is transferred to a new owner, we will take care of the recordal of such assignment before the relevant official bodies.
